Malone Architecture

Malone Architecture is an award-winning architect practice in West London

The Challenge

Taking the client through a complete re-brand process resulting in a new brand identity, a new website and a social campaign. The client provided a great service but their branding and website were letting them down and they were not getting as many leads as they wanted.

Goals

  • Improve the connection between the clients business and the consumers

  • Bring in leads

  • Showcase the clients amazing bespoke work

Brand Positioning

Our workshop helped the client establish a target audience, identify an aspirational brand and look at brand personas.

Brand Design

Creative influences included the Bauhaus Movement, and 3 directions were explored:

  • Craftsmanship

  • Geometrical design

  • Rough sketching

Moodboards

Brand Mark and Final Logo

The final visuals reflect the craftsmanship at the heart of the client's work. The logo consists of simple yet strong geometric shapes like architectural forms. The logo was designed in a vertical and horisontal version so that it could easily be applied across content for all mediums and digital channels. The brandmark MA is easily recognisable and works well for social as well as other communication.

Outcomes

What the client said:

“I love that Trine is a graphic designer first and website builder second. She got the references to the designers I was influenced by in our branding workshop. When she presented her Bauhaus ideas to me it was a real “Oh wow!” moment..”

Keith Malone - Founder and Lead Architect at Malone Architecture

Website

The website design stayed consistent with the striking primary colours of the logo. Balancing flat colours with textured architectural drawing backgrounds and collages off the clients work.

Outcomes

What the client said:

“The phone is ringing! It's working! Thanks to the marketing and web design teams at Business Clan we are now receiving regular enquiries both via the website and social media. Being on LinkedIn has driven brand awareness and word of mouth, and the website is the perfect showcase for our projects and makes it easy for potential new clients to be inspired and connect with us.”

Social

Social was a major focus of the Malone Architecture relaunch. Various campaigns were launched for LinkedIn and Pinterest with success for which content was created. The example below shows the graphics I created for the campaign: “12 Days of Christmas”. A Christmas campaign focusing on sustainability in architecture and the clients dedication to this subject.

Printed Materials

Printed materials created for the client included, business card, stationary, billboards, magazine adverts and a lookbook. The lookbook was going to help generate interest online and to be used as a showcase to new potential clients. I designed the lookbook with the new distinct branding, mixing sketches of the clients work with photos of the projects the client worked on.

Personal Learnings

It has been a great experience working with Malone Architecture and Business Clan on this project as lead designer for graphic, print and web. It is very rewarding when you are involved in the whole journey from the initial brand strategy workshops to developing a logo and brand that the client love. Seing the positive results of the new branding and website take place and see the branding help the clients business grow.
